More often than not, I was taught to view and understand the intersectional identities I embody through the lens of my oppressors. Early in my development, I could only perceive the silhouette of my queer identity, one shaped and defined by how I was suppressed and oppressed—by whom I loved and how my gender expression failed to meet societal expectations. My understanding of queerness was built upon how I was "othered”. Having a liberated lens, invited me to unknown “other” and reclaim the connection of “together”. Liberative Frameworks embody a self energy that calls out to the self in each of us. Reclaiming other as something sacred opened me up to sustainable freedom. Queerness embodied is a gift, to LGBTQIA communities and society at large. As a trauma-informed practitioner who specializes in Anti-Oppressive Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Complex PTSD (CPTSD), I hold space for individuals and groups to explore this same sacredness within themselves. I believe my queerness adds another access point to liberation to my students, clients, and collaborators. Would love to connect with you.
